The project is about e waste: discarded electrical or electronical devices, used electronics for reuse or recycling. The rapid changes in technology, changes in media (tapes, software, MP3), falling prices, and planned obsolescence have resulted in a fast-growing surplus of electronic waste around the globe so the quantity of “e-waste” or electronic waste has now become a major problem. The aim of the project is to make students aware of the issues relating to the disposal or recycling of e waste. Can we consider e waste a resource or just a problem?
