Green is our favorite color

In this project, the students of our two schools would be engaged in observing and comparing certain types of plants that we have selected and that we would plant in our garden, following the growing conditions in our two countries. We will monitor the growth and development of plants under different climatic conditions. Here, the climate is predominantly of a moderate continental type, while in the city of Skole it is predominantly subtropical, so it will be very interesting to monitor and record the different conditions for growth. We chose tomatoes, spinach and zucchini for planting, because of their fast growth and clear characteristics. Our plan is to have a garden in a designated area, with as many recyclable materials as possible, as well as using compost for better plant growth. The plan is to plant it in March or April this year and monitor it for the duration of the project. The students would record the products of their work in their diaries and at the end of this process they would present their results at a joint online event, which would be organized. Teachers would monitor the entire process and point students to mistakes or successes. After being presented, the products of the work would be presented at the school bazaar, where various products would be prepared, but the plants themselves would also be sold. An experiment would also be carried out in both schools, where students would follow the growth of beans with the help of a box that directs the plant, and in this way learn about the process of movement in plants, but also about photosynthesis itself. We would present the results mathematically through graphs and with the help of statistical data, when the plant grew the most and when it grew slowly.
