GIVE WASTE OIL A NEW LIFE FOR A CLEANER FUTURE

Nowadays, with the increase in the consumption of fast-food type foods, there is a serious increase in the amount of frying oil. If used frying oils, which are not suitable for reuse in terms of health, are poured into the sink, both the sink and sewer pipes will be clogged and the waste oils will mix with our clean water. One liter of waste vegetable oil pollutes approximately one million liters of drinking water. Cleaning polluted groundwater is very costly and difficult. In addition, waste vegetable oils mixed with wastewater cover the surface of the water in the seas and rivers they reach, preventing it from breathing. This situation causes fish deaths and changes the taste of fish consumed for food. When spilled on the soil, it negatively affects the structure of the soil. When it mixes with the air, it causes air pollution. These oils, which are sometimes used in soap making, also cause skin cancer. Every oil that we do not accumulate and save for recycling is harmful to the environment and human health. By the help of this project, individuals who are conscious about zero waste will be trained. Zero waste living methods will be implemented in schools. Students will be encouraged to have a share in waste management. The amount of waste vegetable oil sent for recycling will be increased. Wastes will be brought into the economy. The development of the country will be supported by recycling the collected waste oils.
