Sailing to Antarctica with Sophie 2024

The project is to tell (not read) the children (4 to 8 years) the story of Sophie and ask them to draw a picture that indicates to something in the story. While we tell the story we can use a story sack with various things, to show the students, that connects to the story such as an inflatable orb, penguin, blue whale, the doll Sophie and more. We can also make small stones with painted pictures. We will use the storybook by Alison Lester - "Sophie Scott goes South" as a background for the storytelling. Alison is one of the most popular writers of children's books in Australia.
