Our project is a multicultural partnership project which aims to bring students from three different kinds of schools in two different countries together to work for a common purpose using the art, literature and music as tools for a better understanding of each other and benefiting from their various positive effects on humans. We basically want to bring students from different countries (Italy and Turkey), cultures, types of schools, backgrounds, purposes, tastes and competences together and provide an effective and constant communication among them which will result in original youth work in terms of music, literature and art and also in good partnership and improvement in their various skills. At pre-specified time intervals, our students are expected to choose a folk song/lullaby, translate it into English, sing, shoot a video clip and upload it; choose a folk tale, translate, vocalize and upload it; choose a folk art figure and introduce him/her; and complete the related organizational and designing tasks as groups. We believe that our students will get to know other people and cultures better, broaden their horizons, be more open-minded and tolerant, use their various skills for project purposes and improve their lacking skills while working with their peers. As for teachers, we will be monitoring, observing and guiding them throughout the process; however, the main responsibilities will be on students related to the project work in order to improve their organizational, communicative, digital, creative, social, linguistic and artistic skills.
