Description

Through a combination of theory and practice, participants will explore various teaching strategies that can spark imagination, foster creativity, and cultivate a love for learning. This course is suitable for educators across all subjects and grade levels who wish to incorporate creative teaching techniques into their practice. Participants will learn how to design and deliver engaging lessons, promote critical thinking, and encourage collaboration among students. Throughout the course, participants will also have the opportunity to reflect on their own teaching practice and develop new ideas for their classrooms.   Join us in this exciting journey of discovering the art of teaching and learning how to inspire your students to reach their full potential.   Please note that this course is designed as an Erasmus+ KA1 Course, and is open to educators from all countries who wish to enhance their teaching skills and expand their professional development.

Learning objectives

  1. Develop an understanding of creativity and imagination and their importance in education.
  2. Gain knowledge of various teaching strategies and techniques to foster creativity and imagination in students.
  3. Learn how to create a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages creative and imaginative thinking.
  4. Develop skills to integrate creative activities and projects into the curriculum.
  5. Build confidence in facilitating student-led learning experiences that promote creativity and imagination.
  6. Explore ways to assess and evaluate creativity and imagination in students.
  7. Understand how cultural diversity and individual differences impact creativity and imagination in the classroom.
  8. Learn how to use technology as a tool to enhance creativity and imagination in students.
  9. Gain insights into how to effectively communicate with students to foster creativity and imagination.

Methodology & assessment

The methodologies used in “The Art of Teaching: Cultivating Creativity and Imagination in Students” are designed to engage participants in active learning, creative thinking, and self-reflection. The course incorporates a variety of approaches, including:

1. Interactive lectures: The instructor will present theories, concepts, and examples related to creativity and imagination in education. Participants will engage in discussions and activities to deepen their understanding of these ideas.

2. Experiential learning: Participants will have opportunities to apply their learning through hands-on activities, role plays, and simulations. These experiences will allow participants to see how creativity and imagination can be cultivated in real-world classroom settings.
