How to fight fake news and conspiracy on social networks ?

Our students get their information mainly through social networks, but these are full of fake news and conspiratorial remarks. The objective of this project is to make European classes work together to reinforce the critical spirit of the pupils through media education. The idea is also to produce concrete content from our classroom activities such as awareness posters to better verify information, presentations of problematic content analysis or interactive games. To deepen, in a second phase of the project, we could organize and film debates on freedom of expression from concrete cases of problematic content, its necessary regulation in democracy without reaching fundamental rights. This second deepening phase would also analyze the socio-political issues of fake news and conspiracy content in democracy.
