The 2 years KA2 project reunited 3 schools and 3 non-governmental organisations from Romania, Slovakia and Czech Republic. The common problem all the school partners were facing was a low level of intercultural understanding and awareness competences among their pupils and a limited capacity of the teachers in the three general schools to organize integrative and participatory non-formal activities. Thus, teachers had the need to explore the non-formal side of education by creating synergies with staff of other institutions that have experience in this field. The objectives of the project were reached through 3 short-term joint staff training events designed for teachers and staff of non-governmental partner organisations and 1 short-term exchange of groups of pupils that took place in Bilbor, Romania.
