The Power of Art

*Creativity and culture *Cultural heritage/European Year of Cultural Heritage *ICT - new technologies - digital competences. As a scope of the project, we regard art as the essential component of child development since it contributes to fostering such key competences as fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, memory, co-operative skills, solidarity (the base of social responsibility and empathy) and also creativity. Recent studies show that children can learn a lot from creating art in class. Creative activities can develop new neural paths when children's brain is involved in these activities. Furthermore art has a strong connection with mental wellness as well as with physical well-being.
