Both schools will work on a project related to the study of different aspects of an area of one cubic mile near the students’ daily life and environment in both cities -Hardenberg and Badajoz. The aim is to deepen and widen the knowledge of our environment, its diversity, the influence that human beings have had on it and how to stop its deterioration or appreciate its biodiversity and historical value from a multidisciplinary perspective and, introducing the result in the curriculum as well as the use of ITC as a means of communication and teamwork. In addition, we will compare both places and make students aware of the similarities that may exist between two cubic miles so far away but within Europe, overcome the fear of the unknown, as well as understand and respect the differences between them.This will expand their horizons and allow them to have a richer cultural insight of their own land as well as a totally unknown and new one.
