“English on Board” is an e-twinning Project that aims to teach vocabulary through board games. Vocabulary and Game-Based-Learning are two crucial factors of learning English. According to many researches, games are essential for healthy development in early childhood and beyond. Likewise, playing board games is also a great way to improve students’ vocabulary. Additionally, Turkish Ministiry of Education stated in their 2023 Education Vision that “Throughout the country, 'Game-Based Learning' approach will be adopted in primary and secondary education. Moreover, interactive and game-based teaching materials and techniques for early childhood will be used in English learning.” Considering all these, we, as the project partners, are going to play five board games in 5 months. These activities not only help the students improve their vocabulary, but also have fun during the lessons.
