ONE HE@LTH…ONE NATURE 2030

The project is an ITE (Initial Teacher Education) project organized in collaboration with the universities UNICATT of Milan and UNIBAS of Matera, faculty of Primary Education and a Greek school. The topic of the project refers to the Civic Education curriculum, strictly connected to 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, particularly towards environment. The main aim is promoting a culture of care and respect of the world and its different sources. A training course of environmental, emotional and cultural exploration ( MAB) for developing the basic awareness of sustainability issues of the promotion of integral human well-being,. The aim is protecting and caring of our common home: the Earth. The environmental education mainly aimed to promoting changes in people's attitudes and behaviors, either an individual or a community . The climate change requires urgent training actions: the students has to be the force of the change. They will develop a new way of thinking about the concept of the environment and the relation to it. The school, as an educational agency, has the duty to helps pupils developing the awareness that the planet's resources are limited. No more time, action time is here; the students will learn by the project activities to respect nature and to preserve the richness of the planet: we’re not the owner, we’re passengers! Environmental education and active citizenship take a key role in school curriculum. Our aims are: teaching young people the respect of the environment, the distinction between renewable and non-renewable energies, the main causes of environmental pollution not to waste natural resources, The activities will scaffold students towards the awareness of responsible actions for a better life style.
