PROJECT
Active

1, 2, 3… Once upon a time…

Working the curricular areas from children's literature, promotes the formation of good readers, develops imagination, creativity, emotions, expression and movement, through meaningful and pleasurable learning. Reading is one of the preponderant tools we have for interacting with the environment and also for understanding the world. In this sense, it is necessary for children to become familiar with books, encouraging them to explore them, and creating a taste for reading. Consequently, essential skills will be developed throughout their school career, such as increasing vocabulary, easiness in interpreting texts, expanding the linguistic repertoire, reflection and creativity. This project is transversal to the various areas of competence covered in the Student Profile on Leaving Compulsory Schooling, also covering the principles explained in the same guiding document, such as the humanist-based principle, learning, inclusion and sustainability.
