Slow in a Hurry

We are working about sustainability in the fashion industry and social impact of the consequences of fast fashion; Research will be done to reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry; Due to the ecological system and global warming, reusing everyday clothes is very important. Our students should know how important it is to use old clothes and recycle their outfits. They will be able to know how they can help and save our planet with their everyday simple behaviours, for example giving a second life to garments they don’t longer use. We will attend workshops where we will learn to customize their clothes so that they use them for a longer time. We will learn how they negatively contribute to The World Pollution by means of the clothes we buy and wear. We will conduct research about the different clothes stores in town and what they offer, their clothes origin and how they are produced. We will watch “The True Cost” and debate how to change our society’s demands towards clothes; Our goal will be promoting recycling and ethical clothing, a way of producing and buying (or not buying) clothing that takes into account environmental, social and ethical concerns.
