Theme: A vision for a sustainable Europe in the 21st Century: This is a very broad and wide-ranging cross-curricular project aimed at 16+ students. Through stimulating a deeper level of study in the context of a European transnational co-operation, we will enhance the study of the following curriculum areas, for students in all partner schools: ethics, bionics, energy, civics (in relation to legislation and principles of justice), economics and enterprise education, art, drama, music, physical education and foreign languages. We aim to form international links - and broader 'blue sky' thinking - in the minds of young people (which they will use in their future lives) - as well as forming lasting international links in the participating schools' curricula and in the teachers' outlook as to how they deliver their subjects, both now and in the future. Interactive discussion and joint research by students, facilitated via ICT, will be central to the project's development - as will the face-to-face meetings of a number of students - and of the staff joint project team from all partner schools. Video conferencing will enable continuing dialogue and sharing of experiences between staff and students involved.
