Waldschule Schwanewede welcomed all three partner schools from September 18^th to 25^th with travel bans in all countries finally having been lifted. Who knew that this week’s topic of energy production and consumption was to be such a hot and pressing issue when the project had been applied for in 2020. Everyone was now up for a week of learning and gaining insight on this topic that – with the role of Russia in the Ukraine war – was more important than ever.

Fun and getting to know each other was equally important, so apart from the hard work the students did, there was also an entertaining program with lots of laughter and activities such as a pool party on the first night to break the ice, a visit to the Climate House in Bremerhaven or the JumpHouse in Bremen and a farewell barbecue at the historic windmill of Aschwarden.
