A spring story

We talked with the children about the arrival of spring and noticed the walk, which gradually changed. We read a story with the children from our joint book in StoryJumber. I encouraged the children to invent a story using numbers and geometric shapes. They surprised me with their imagination. Images from previous stories - a swan fed by children and cherries - also appeared in their drawings. Some drew flowers and animals in the environment and compared their numbers. We imagined each other's stories and finally agreed on the drawing and the story. The children were very interested in the activity and suggested creating a joint book of drawings.

The little girl Eli lived in house number three on a street lined with trees. One spring day she went out into the street and didn't meet anyone. She heard only three birds singing the story of spring. She was a bit bored, so she noticed what was on the street. She counted houses, trees, animals and found out what surrounded her. She noticed that all the roofs on the houses have a triangular shape, that the walls of the house resemble rectangles and the windows are square. She read - three trees, three flowers, three birds. She knew almost all numbers, but her favorite number was three. Suddenly she got an idea. She took the chalk, drew squares, rectangles and wrote the numbers she knew on the sidewalk. She found a pebble to jump and play the game. She enjoyed it very much. He will also play the game with his friends.
