We chose the project title due to our preoccupation for making pupils conscious of the environment problems importance for their education. The rapid consumption of fossil fuels, contamination and ozone layer puncture are the results of unconscious exploitation of natural resources due to technology developing or population increasing. The activities that contribute to greenhouse gas emissions are transportation, electricity production, buildings cooling or heating. Energy is the essence of life and it is essential to create awareness and share knowledge of how to preserve our limited natural resources. We think urgent precautions should be taken to stop global warming, to save environment, to create awareness in society. Educating pupils to become more ecologically literate individuals by different programs in schools seems to be the teachers’ best way. The project aims are to explain to pupils the importance of using green energy and create awareness about it in all partner schools.
