Our National Garden - Grandma's Garden

When I was little, my grandmother had a garden. In the garden she grew tomatoes, peppers ..etc and many other vegetables and fruit.Their taste and smell were incredible. I can't forget them. And now it is very difficult to find those smells and tastes in the markets. And my students don't know these taste and smell. They don't even know which fruits and vegetables are in which season, because there are tomatoes in every season. So I have been telling them about my memories and this project came to my mind.l had stem training a few years ago.then l adapted this Project to stem at my school.we found seeds from villages in cooperation with my students. Then we created an area where we could put them in the soil and grow them.we made rectangle with 9 sections wooden box . We planted seeds of plants such as tomatoes, peppers and zucchini in eight sections around the perimeter.we used the middle part to make fertilizer from organic waste.we put to model in a sunny environment and then watered them and photographed my observations every day.It was very enjoyable to see them growing. Then we took the seeds of the plants.we realized how precious the seeds of our ancestors were because we could hardly access these old seeds. My students worked with the soil, planted them, grew them, observed them, and they enjoyed watching them and became interested in them, which was incredible.I wanted to move this enjoyable project to etwining. The project will explore growing plants, observing local species of plants and animals, science story telling.
