Harmony & Heritage: Music for Well-Being

In this project, students will dedicate a portion of their weekly time to listening to classical music while engaging in simple relaxation activities such as breathing exercises and coloring. The project's structure will involve two main phases: initially, students will explore music composed by their own country's artists, followed by a selection of music from partner schools. Throughout this process, teachers will closely monitor the impact of music listening on students, taking note of changes in their well-being, behavior, and their ability to perform other school-related activities. These observations, along with relevant materials and best practices, will be shared among the participating teachers. Importantly, students will not be overwhelmed with traditional information or lectures. Instead, they will learn through direct exposure to music and accompanying coloring activities that are inspired by the music they listen to. The primary mode of collaboration will be between teachers, but the project also includes a component where student groups will exchange short videos showcasing their activities.
