Drought and Water Literacy

In proportion to the growth rate of the world population, the unconscious use of water resources is also increasing rapidly. Billions of people are deprived of clean water for health and sanitation. If a sustainable emergency action plan that includes a sense of responsibility is not implemented, the number of countries negatively affected by the water crisis will increase to 66 in 2050, while two-thirds of the population will face drought. Accordingly, the topics of drought, water conservation, water supply and purification methods from past to present, the future of water, water literacy model, and sustainability of water resources need to be transformed into permanent behavior in students. Because it is vital that we contribute with the same sensitivity in order to find a solution to water scarcity, which is a common problem of humanity. Therefore this project; By examining the sustainability of fresh water, access to quality water, and new technological developments in the world regarding water distribution, it will contribute to the permanent development of water literacy behavior in students. Thus, we will increase the rate of the water literate generation by raising conscious individuals in line with the precautionary principle of the EU's environmental policy.
