Epic poems represent a universal genre we can find in oral and written tradition of many countries, handed down from one generation to another through expressive ways such as the theatrical one in its various forms (including the “Opera dei Pupi”, ICH - Intangible cultural heritage safeguarded by Unesco), modifying and adapting gradually to changes in time and space. Aims: to make students aware that the plurality of European and Mediterranean social body has been conditioned by countless contributions of other cultures and civilizations during a long historical process made of colonization and decolonization, economic migrations and recent policies in order to adequately structure a proper representations of the other and possibly deconstruct the erroneous ones (stereotypes, prejudices, colonial disputes); to develop digital literacy through the making of a "Scratch" animation representing some meaningful pieces of the "Opera dei Pupi"; improving English and French fluency.
