Today, all around the world there is growing evidence that fake news has the power to shape public opinion but...what happens when fake news spreads? What are potential consequences when fake news goes viral? How can we spot fake news without being fooled? Then, it is important to discuss online safety with our students who might not always be aware of dangers, especially in a world in which a lot of young people are spending more and more time online. This will help them to increase their critical thinking towards online posts and be aware of their own role in the digital world. According to these reasons, we want to: • Analyze the ancient history of fake news (myths and legends) to bring awareness and deep understanding of the issue. • “NETIQUETTE AND INTERNET SECURITY: let’s create a safe space for sharing experiences. • Enhance their critical thinking. • Inform about freedom of expression. • guiding students to reflect on the social consequences of misinformation when believing fake news
