Flying the Flag for a Healthy Europe; Building Capacities in Community for Special Needs

Our partnership consists of existing partners from Estonia, Latvia, Portugal, Romania; who are all special schools and institutions; together at our last meeting we produced the plan for this project. As a group of Special Schools and Centres our vast amount of experiences and expertise highlighted the need to provide a Structured Program encompassing all aspects of healthy living in our learning environments and to make our journey inclusive in all social settings. To enhance our partnership we have been joined by a special school in Sligo in the Repuliic of Ireland. All schools in our partnership suffer from varying degrees of social disadvantage; unemployment, poverty, rural isolation and inner city problems. Our project has been discussed widely by the governance and management of our institutions who are fully supportive.
