"Lost Not Found"

Each year 10,000 refugee children are reported missing in the European Union. Many of them seem to disappear without any trace. It is thought that many have probably fallen into the hands of criminal organisations but that is just one side of the coin. Within the framework of the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child, students will collaborate in international teams to reveal why minors flee without their parents or/ other family members; what are the dangers they are exposed to; what happens once these children arrive and are registered at a reception centre; why do so many of them disappear. Students will go into the public opinion towards refugees in their country and the framing effect in respect of migrants. Students will explore “how to raise awareness of social issues” as well.
