Friday 21st

On the first day of this mobility, the host school, Les Aimerigues (Terrassa -Spain) celebrated the day of Saint George, the patron saint of Catalonia. Students from all levels (from ages 12 to 18 years old) joined together to do different activities relating literature, as the tradition of the country dictates.

We kicked off our project with a welcome session which included the presentation of the week’s activities and some ice-breaking games to encourage our students to get to know each other.

Shortly after that, they were informed about the international work groups and the formal task that they had to produce by the end of the week: a promotional video of “Saint George in Les Aimerigues”, a news-report on Saint George in Barcelona and from the exhibition and a TikTok of the highlights of Barcelona. In other words, three different products to include in our "TV channel".

After that, we started with the literary activities: first group did a Tableau Vivant where, using all sorts of attrezzo, had to recreate different literary moments or characters from well known books or art pieces. The second group did a bookface, where they had to take pictures of their faces with a book, also trying to recreate the spirit of it and make the book melt with the background.

After that we all attended the literary contest organised every year in our school on this date, where we award students in different categories: narrative, poetry, drama, foreign language, short story… There was music, literary readings, prizes and a lot of excitement.

To finish the day, the Erasmus+ students joined the rest of the students in the “literary stalls” organised in the backyard of the school, where they can play games relating to language such as Tabú, Dixit, The wrong word… They also had the opportunity to meet other students from school who don't participate in the project... yet.
