The project “CIVICS: Collaborative International Ventures in Institutional & Cultural Studies” is an international educational initiative aimed at students and teachers from various European countries. Our goal is to collaboratively explore and compare how important holidays and thematic days related to culture, human rights, citizenship, and traditions are celebrated in the European Union, Poland, and partner countries. Each month, participants focus on a selected holiday or event, discovering its meaning, symbols, and ways of celebration in different countries. Activities are carried out in international teams and include exchanging experiences, creating multimedia presentations, quizzes, posters, and virtual projects. The project develops intercultural competences, promotes tolerance, empathy, and respect, highlights the importance of shared European values, and strengthens cooperation among schools. It also offers an excellent opportunity for online meetings, integration, and practical use of foreign languages.
