In honor of the eTwinning celebration day, we conducted a Mentimeter survey to gain insights into what it means for teachers to be a part of the eTwinning community. The objective of this survey was to understand the perceptions, experiences, and benefits associated with being an eTwinning teacher. This report presents an overview of the key findings and highlights the significance of eTwinning in the professional lives of educators.

The majority of respondents (82%) agreed that eTwinning had significantly broadened their global perspective. They emphasized the value of collaborating with teachers from different countries, exposing their students to diverse cultures, and fostering international understanding.

Over 90% of the surveyed teachers acknowledged that eTwinning had played a crucial role in their professional development. They highlighted the opportunities for networking, sharing best practices, and participating in innovative projects as key contributors to their growth as educators.

A significant majority of teachers (94%) agreed that eTwinning had a positive impact on student engagement and motivation. The opportunity to connect and collaborate with peers from other countries sparked curiosity, provided real-world relevance to their learning, and encouraged active participation.

 

The findings of this Mentimeter survey underscore the profound impact of eTwinning on teachers' professional lives. The eTwinning community serves as a catalyst for global collaboration, professional development, and pedagogical innovation. Teachers benefit from the diverse perspectives, experiences, and resources shared by their eTwinning colleagues, which ultimately leads to enhanced student engagement and a broader worldview. The results affirm the importance of nurturing and expanding the eTwinning platform to empower teachers worldwide and promote global education.
