I want to encourage pupils to search for information about their environment - their city. The main aims of the project are: familiarizing children with the history of their small homeland (across the province) familiarization with the geography of the Silesian Voivodeship activating children to seek knowledge introducing children to cooperation activating parents to cooperate learning a foreign language through practical activities building children's ethnic identity. These aims I want to achieve through: 1. Performing group work: mock-up of the place; os of historical events; short performance / film; a fairy tale about the place; development of a regional element: songs, dishes, costumes; preparation of the game related to the place 2. Meetings with people characteristic of a given place with: a historian, naturalist, representative of the local community of a given region 3. Developing maps of interesting places in the Silesian Voivodeship 4. Development of a picture dictionary.
