Mathias Gerz

Hello everyone and welcome to the Brüder Grimm School in Mülheim an der Ruhr, North Rhine-Westphalia in western Germany.

At our school, 401 diverse and special pupils with a wide range of resources from 24 nations learn together in 16 classes. In addition to these children aged between 6 and 11, there is a pre-school group with 5-year-old children. We are also a family primary school centre.
We have been active in the Erasmus+ programme since 2019 and are an accredited institution.
Currently, we would welcome teachers for job shadowing, send teachers on training mobilities and would also like to come to European schools ourselves as part of the job shadowing programme. We would very much like to carry out student projects on common focal points and also organise student mobilities in the medium term.
Our focus areas are, for example
- mission statement
- On the way to becoming a digital school (1:1 tablet equipment, digital whiteboards)
- Inclusion (10% of pupils with special educational needs)
- cultural education
- Democracy education: We are on the way to a "children's parliament".
- We are on the way to gradually anchoring the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in our system.
- and much more...

We look forward to hearing from you, please feel free to contact us :-).
