Lectures and Workshops on Irish History, Culture, Literature and the Irish Education System with a visit to an Irish Secondary School (term-time courses only).

Learning objectives
The course aims to give participants the opportunity to:
- revisit and explore the principles and practices involved in 21st century language learning and teaching pedagogy and methodologies
- gain new ideas & materials for teaching English as a Foreign Language
- gain new ideas and skills for using digital tools and AI
- learn more about the Irish Education System
- learn more about Irish history, culture and literature
- develop professional connections and professional interchange with other European language teachers
Methodology & assessment
Practical workshops are tailored to the participants’ training needs
Teachers will be encouraged to share their own ideas and experiences and to participate in and reflect on learning and tasks designed for secondary school students and adult language learners.

At the end of the course teachers participate in a detailed evaluation of the course
Materials, digital tools & other learning resources
Participants will be provided with physical and digital materials and will be actively involved in creating and sharing digital resources.
Certification details
- A certificate of attendance (stating course title, location, dates, content, learning outcomes and number of hours) will be provided as required by the Quality standards for courses under Key Action 1
- Erasmus+ documentation will be validated
- Teachers will be provided with advice on how to complete their Learning Agreements if requested

- 2,195 Euro – Course with 13 nights full board host family accommodation (Single rooms. All meals provided)
- 2,239 Euro - Course with 13 nights self-catering accommodation in central university residence (single ensuite rooms)

Cancellation & changes:
Full payment will be due 2 months before the course begins, or for teachers awaiting funding: as soon as the grant is received.
100% refund for cancellations more than 5 weeks before arrival. No refund for cancellations within 5 weeks of arrival. Changes and substitution of teacher may be possible.
