PROGRAMME OF ACTIVITIES

24^th April. Historical and cultural links. Baltic signs nowadays

7.30 – Breakfast

8.30 – Departing from the hotel to Vilniaus Gabijos gymnasium

9.00 – Meeting at school at the presence of school SLT and students

• Welcome from Vilniaus Gabijos gymnasium
• Historical and cultural links between guests’ countries and Lithuania.
• Interactive "Get to Know Lithuania" game
• Objects of Lithuanian culture – Lithuanian students’ presentation
• Expo box
• Team building activities

12.20 – Lunch at school

14.30 –Workshop: Lithuanian ethnic culture in art. Baltic signs nowadays.

• Lithuanian team presents the report "Meaning of the Baltic symbols".
• Students and teachers create Baltic symbols on cloth bags.

17.00 – Departing from school to the hotel

25^th April. Connection of Lithuanian History and Art at the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania

8.00 – Breakfast

9.30 – Leaving to the Palace of the Grand Dukes

10.00 – History and Art CLIL lesson – educational excursion “The history and artful interiors in the Palace of the Grand Dukes“. Educational workshop “All that glitters is not gold”.

13.00 – Lunch

14.30 – Architecture of Vilnius in different historical periods. Walking tour in the Old town: Gediminas Tour, Bernardinu garden, St. Ann’s Church

17.00 – End of activities

26^th April. Everyone can understand the art in their own way

8.00 – Breakfast

9.30 – Leaving to the Old town

10.00 –  Sculpture is a sign of the city's history and art. Walking tour of the Old town speaking sculptures
13.00 – Lunch
15.00 – Modern art CLIL lesson at MO museum 

• Visual thinking educational session “What is happening in this picture?”
• Exploring a new literature exhibition “Vilnius Poker”

17.30 – End of activities

27^th April.Connections of different national cultures in architecture

8.00 – Breakfast

10.00 – Departing to Trakai. Excursion of the Trakai castle. Acquaintance with national minority Karaims’ architecture in Trakai.

13.00 – Lunch at Karaim restaurant

14.30 – Free time at Trakai.

15.30 – Departing to Užutrakis Manor Estate (architecture of Historicism). Visiting the Manor and the park.

18.00 – End of activities

28^th April. Historical heritage of all partner countries. Intertextuality in XXI century

7.30 – Breakfast

8.30 – Departing from the hotel to Vilniaus Gabijos gymnasium

9.00 – Activities at school:

• Historical heritage: national songs
• Intertextuality in XXI century storytelling
• Self-evaluation of activities, Expo box comments, awarding participation certificates

15.00 – Lithuanian book of project: the historical context of R. Šepetys novel ,,Between Shades of Gray”. History and Art CLIL lesson –the review of the historical setting of the mid-20^th century at the Museum of  Freedom Fights
