Description
Ahead of Europe Day on 9 May, explore this engaging webinar: HistoriCall – A new way to teach European history
The House of European History (HEH) invites teachers to discover HistoriCall, a newly developed Digital Toolbox designed to support educators in teaching European history.
Available in 24 languages, the toolbox responds to the needs expressed by over 1,000 teachers across Europe.
Based on these insights, the HEH Learning Team created two interactive modules for students aged 14 to 18:
- The Timeline of the European Union
- EU Pioneers: Meet the Founders of the Union
During the webinar, participants gain insights into the development process of HistoriCall before exploring the EU Pioneers module. This engaging resource introduces students to key historical figures—such as Robert Schuman, Simone Veil, and seven other pioneers—through reimagined social media accounts. With engaging texts and dynamic audio-visual content, the module offers an innovative, student-centred approach that encourages critical thinking and reflection through Visible Thinking routines.
The webinar also presents the Timeline of European Integration module, featuring an animated video and accompanying quiz. Teachers receive practical guidance on how to integrate these tools into a variety of educational contexts.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, share, and be inspired!
