As a boarding school, most of our students come from from low-income or disadvantaged backgrounds. That is why, it was an opportunity for them even though they had to go back to their dormitory  at 10:30  to obey he school rules.

On the third day of the meeting (20 March, 2023), an opening ceromony was held to welcome the project partners. After principle’s speech, a short school introduction video was shown to give an idea about our school. After the folk dance performances and songs by our students, we gave a coffe break. Our guests tasted the foods  and national dishes prepared by parents. At 11:00 o’clock, we met in the meeting room again so that each team could present their green screen video they had prepared as part of project task. As teachers, we were all impressed by the quality of the videos prepared by the students. They created really cool videos even before getting any proffessional help. For lunch, the group were taken to a local restaurant to have pide, which was enjoyed by all the teams. In the afternoon, two workshops were organised to give the participants the basics of video editing. Students were taken to green screen studio and supervised by Kamil Okyay, a video expert on photography and film making. Teachers were in another workshop prepared by Orhan Erdoğan. They were given the practical tips to create videos on educational purposes. Beacuse the topic was engaging and interesting, the students and teachers both had fun and learnt editing videos using green screen. They loved to bring their own video project ideas to life.

On the fourth day of the mobility (21 March, 2023), the day started with two workshops again. Students under the supervising of Kamil Okyay began to edit videos in the studio. They learnt that green screen effects allow students to put themselves into any background they like. Once they  mastered the green screen, the expert challenged them to use it to film a story.

They were given a variety of topics to choose from and asked to prepare videos in the studio. Some prefered to create a video tour of a significant location using green secreen, some recast  a scene from a famous  movie whereas others made videos of a legendary figure. They proved that they dont have to visit the places they want to present. The teachers had a meeting to plan the next mobility, the migration of  the etwinnig to the new platform and  preparation of the europass certificates. After the lunch at a local restaurant, we came back to school again.  Each international group presented their video. The teachers had another meeting to discuss and evaluate the project outcomes and what to include in e-book. Meanwhile, Turkish students showed their friends our school such as music and art class. After the workshops and presentations, the certificates were given to each participant. In the afternoon after 16:00, he students were given time to enjoy together.
