SPANISH TEAM
On Monday, 8th May, students were given 6 questions about the project :
1- How have you felt working in groups?
2- Find 3 things the other groups (from Turkey or from France) have done which shocked you or which you found interesting. (say why)
3-Do you think it is interesting to do these projects with students from other European countries? Why or why not?
4- What interesting information have you found about the European Union?
5- What do you think about the final product of this project: the e-book. Give arguments.
6- What do you think of this way of working compared with a more traditional way of learning?
Working in pairs they had to answer these questions, write them down and send them to the teacher. This was a way of making them reflect on the work done and also on they work done by the students from the other countries.
"We could discover how different countries coped with the pandemic, and now, I myself, appreciate how lucky we were in that aspect."
Miguel Pañeda
"We think this project is really interesting because we get to learn about other cultures and their measures against Covid in each country, and we also learned how to
work with different people that are not
from our surroundings."
Cecilia Rodríguez y Cecilia Carreño
"We found that the EU is more important than we thought because the collaboration of all of its members was crucial during the Pandemic and it helped us overcome it more easily."
Irene and Celia
"We believe that doing these projects with students from other European countries we learn English and we get to know people our age. It is something that we don't normally do and that is why we enjoyed it much."
Ana and Lucía Fernández
"We realised that the European Union has done a lot of things for the students during lockdown since some people found it hard to continue their studies."
Sofía and Ángela
"We think the final product, the e-book, has turned out amazing, as in it you can see the hard work that everyone has put into it."
Naia and Meghan
During that week, divided now in 4 groups, and with the "direction" of pupils who wrote really interesting things they prepared and recorded these videos :

FRENCH TEAM
"In our group, we liked this project for different reasons. We liked talking about Covid-19 because it was a difficult period for everyone. Studying it helped us understand how important health is anywhere in the world. Furthermore, thanks to this project, we learnt how the crisis was managed in other countries. We also discovered different cultures and different lifestyles. Thank you !"

"Our group enjoyed participating in this project. We appreciated discovering the different cultures of your beautiful countries while tackling with the Covid-19 pandemic which was a very complicated period for all of us. What we found interesting was the creative approach and the making of an e-book. We also enjoyed all the group work. Thanks for everything and goodbye :) !"

"We found the project really cool and interesting but we all are sad because the end of the project is coming. It was really rewarding to learn how other coutries coped with this situation. Besides, the fact that we were working with teenagers like us was cool and we are happy that we could work with you. Thanks for your involvement in this project and here is our last video !"

"We have found this project intriguing and highly relevant as it allowed us to understand the influence of Covid on the lives of teenagers beyond our own borders. Through this project, we gained insights into their experiences and the strategies that their countries used to cope with this pandemic. This experience also enabled us to discover the cultures and lifestyles of people living in Turkey, Romania, and Spain. By combining collaborative teamwork and creativity, this project not only facilitated the enhancement of our English proficiency but also fostered international cooperation."

Julien : "- It was really nice to work in a group with friends. Each of us took part in all the projects but it was a bit complicated to coordinate. We had to finish the work at home. So we had to send each other the work we had done so as to see if everything was fine."
Luca : "- We were surprised to learn that, in Turkey, most people thought the pandemic was not real because they thought it was something created by some government or organization. We also liked their comics because they were funny. And when we compared our answers to theirs, they were never the same. We discovered other ways of seeing things and we sometimes found it strange because we had never imagined things like that."
Nathan : "- I think it’s interesting to work with students from other countries because it allows us to have other points of view on the Covid 19 pandemic but also to better understand how Europeans coped with this crisis."
Gabin : "- The e-book was a very good idea. We could easily access our classmates ’work and our own. It was very nice to read it. It is well organized. Now that it’s finished, we can see the huge amount of work done by all the participants. So we are very proud of ourselves and everyone else."
Saber : "- In my opinion, this way of working is better than the traditional one because we are more autonomous. We can use many ICT tools and discover a lot of things and tricks online."

"We really liked working in a group. It allowed us to get closer and have fun together.
We loved it and found it super interesting especially as the Spanish groups were very invested in their videos and set the bar high for us. We were also surprised when we saw the Turks' comics ; they were very beautiful and some deserved to win the vote for the best comic. It shocked us to know that so much misinformation had spread in their country.
Though we didn't communicate with our Romanian partners, we could discover them on their presentation videos. They produced nice written materials anyway.
It's really pleasant to work with students from other countries. It allows you to know other people’s cultures and lifestyles or even to see how they are able to respond properly to something as dire as a health emergency or a pandemic.
We found it interesting to know that though we live in different countries, some ways of doing things are the same. For example, each president of each country said rather the same things to warn us about the virus.
When we turn the pages of the e-book we have created all together, we find it amazing ! Working all year long on this project was definitely worth it. All our work is gathered in this book and thanks to it, we will never forget what we learnt about our partners and the way they coped with the pandemic. They are part of our lives now and it was a real pleasure to share this moment with them."

TEACHERS
" - E-Twinning is totally new to me and I have to admit I spent a lot of time and energy learning how to create and coordinate such a project. I attended several Canope webinars. I tested the different digital tools presented on the ESEP site and on the e-Twinning Facebook. And I also learnt how to work on the TwinSpace and I have to admit it’s not so easy.
But all the effort was worth it !
First, I was really well supported by my Turkish partner. Our new Spanish partner and her pupils did a great job, too. My Maths colleague was also a great support. Unfortunately, she couldn't join us before mid-February.
It was a real pleasure to see the pupils improve their self confidence and self esteem. They gradually gained autonomy and took responsibility. I have to admit they are really creative and most of them were eager to improve their accent so that their partners may clearly understand them. They did their best and worked hard, and I'm very thankful to them. They always had very good ideas and their e-book is a huge source of pride.
We all learnt from one another and it was a great experience."
