Developing Students' Social and Emotional Learning through Games, Music and Outdoor Activities

Games, musical and outdoor activities are a powerful way of developing social and emotional learning in young people. Experience-based learning tools like games provide a forum for the development of the skill-sets, attitudes, and values that build resilience and maintain well-being. The project will develop, through its activities, the idea of SEL (social and emotional learning) blended in different aspects of educational games, musical and outdoor activities. The objective of the project is to teach positive social interactions, encourage relationship skills, and practice effective communication. The project will form the basis for an Erasmus+ application and both projects will be carried out simultaneously. The students involved are aged 12-15 and will be involved in multiple activities designed to develop the following major social and emotional competences: Self-Awareness; Self-Management; Social Awareness; Social Management.
