Sound of Silence: the search for a quiet life using the scientific method

Today, one of the issues that move our students is the footprint we leave, the well-known carbon footprint. They are very concerned about how it affects our planet, in general, and their hometown, in particular. They are very worried about pollution, and in particular, noise pollution. With this project we want to get our students in contact with other students in Europe. Our students are around 14-16 years old, but for carrying out our project, we don’t need that all students are the same age, or that all perform the same activities, ... because what we really want is the collaboration of all kinds of centres in our study about noise pollution. Our idea is to attract partners from different subjects to our project: physics, chemistry, biology, geography, history, mathematics, plastic arts, technology, languages ... from different centres and thus be able to analyse what happens in different countries, if they have or notice that problem, and how they deal with it.
