LiveGreen#1 is aimed at implementing sustainable living and development into our school environment as well as into schools interested in this project. The concept of sustainable development is based on the balance between economical, social and environmental conditions. The idea is to fulfill the needs of present generations without endangering the possibilities for future generations to meet their needs. While inequality is continuously increasing, the ecological systems are unsustainable. The aim is to raise the awareness of students, teachers and local community, necessary behavioural transformations and burning need for change. Sustainable goals are universal for all people. The students should learn about the present situation, future expectations, initiatives and potential activities to be taken. They should be educated to be global citizens who will pationately take care of others, their environment and act immediately engaging themselves in problem-solving.
