eTwinning workshop - Ambassadors in action, building communities with skills for life

The primary purpose of this workshop is to empower eTwinning ambassadors in their role as community leaders and multipliers of change. When ambassadors return to their local contexts, they should feel confident, inspired, and equipped to actively promote eTwinning, support fellow educators, and strengthen engagement within their national and regional communities.

Ended: 12.10.2025
Duration: 3 days
Krakow, Poland

Event information

Description

eTwinning Ambassadors are at the heart of educational transformation across Europe. As experienced educators, they act as community leaders who inspire, connect, and empower their peers. Their role goes far beyond sharing good practices, they foster collaboration, mentor fellow teachers, and drive change within and beyond their local and national networks. By building strong, inclusive learning communities, ambassadors help shape a culture of innovation and continuous professional growth.

In this leadership role, ambassadors are key players in advancing wider European goals. In March 2025, the European Commission launched the Union of Skills, a strategic initiative to address skills and labour shortages across the EU. While this action plan highlights the need to strengthen core competencies such as literacy, numeracy, science, digital fluency, and active citizenship, its success relies heavily on the support and engagement of educators on the ground.

That’s where communities like eTwinning and especially its ambassadors come in. The 2025/2026 annual theme, "Skills for Life," aligns closely with the Union of Skills agenda, but it is ambassadors who bring this vision to life. Through their leadership, they help teachers implement new approaches, encourage lifelong learning, and ensure these essential skills are not just taught but lived in classrooms and projects across Europe.

This workshop supports that mission by providing ambassadors with tools, ideas, and strategies to strengthen their role as connectors, changemakers, and champions of empowered learning communities.
