Description

The ICT Tools for Sustainable Development course equips educators with practical strategies to integrate the UN’s 2030 Agenda into their teaching. Focused on sustainability, interculturality, and global citizenship, the course enhances educational quality while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and inclusivity. Participants explore how to use ICT tools effectively, including digital games, Google Workspace, and 3D building kits like LEGO, to engage learners and make complex sustainability concepts tangible. Modules cover project organization, integrating minority learners, and promoting awareness of global goals, ensuring relevance across diverse curricular subjects. Through hands-on workshops, real-world case studies, and collaborative activities, the course empowers teachers to inspire students and address pressing global challenges while maintaining engagement and motivation in the classroom.

Learning objectives

  1.  Explore digital tools to create materials (slides, screencasts, infographics…),  interactive activities (quizzes, surveys), and to collect and share ideas (digital notice  boards, asynchronous conversations)
  2.  Use selected ICT tools to create interactive activities to make the lesson flow more
  3. Design Learning Unit on Global Goals by working in groups and using selected ICT tools.
  4. Enrich communication skills, improve foreign language competencies, broaden professional vocabulary and promote EU’s broad linguistic diversity.
  5. Enhance skills to use various innovative teaching methods and techniques that are learner-centered, encourage solving of meaningful real-world tasks, and develop transversal competencies.
  6. Boost skills in using open and digital resources, support development of digital skills and media literacy, increase capacity to trigger changes in terms of modernization using ICT.
