Collaboration across borders to achieve unity

The theme of "Celebrating What Unites Us" is echoed in the project’s transnational collaboration. Students from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds come together to work on a common cause. This process itself is a celebration of unity, as students learn that despite their differences, they share the same goals for a sustainable future.

By working in transnational teams, students actively experience the unifying power of collaboration on global goals. Citizenship education here fosters an understanding of how unity can lead to collective problem-solving, emphasizing what binds us as global citizens.

The aim of transnational team group work is to foster teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Working together on complex problems, such as achieving "zero" targets, requires students to embrace cooperation and innovation. This aligns with the citizenship education theme of celebrating unity, as teamwork helps students realize that solutions are stronger when people come together.

The spirit of teamwork in the project embodies the idea that what unites us—our shared goals and ability to cooperate—can lead to innovative solutions to global challenges. Citizenship education encourages this unity through collaboration, and the "Zero City" project puts that principle into action.
