We celebrated 3rd December World Disabled Day with both my special Students and the others. What we did:
- My students watched short videos for their awareness and then they planted a flower.
- We prepared a school board.

Our activities on December 3 World Disability Day

We prepared billboards in our school to raise awareness about December 3, World Disability Day. Our school administration went around our classrooms and brought small gifts to our children.

3 December World Disabled Day

To celebrate December 3rd, we started by watching the story “Elmer, the Patchwork Elephant” by David Mckee. We talked about accepting differences, solidarity and friendship. Then, we painted several elephants with different patterns, using colored pencils. To make the task more challenging, they tried painting with their mouths, to understand the difficulty of carrying out tasks without using their hands. We played two traditional games: “Blind goat game” and “Running with one foot”.

As Yomra, we hosted the 3 December awareness day event for the Adım Zeka İşim Oyun project, carried out by the Provincial National Education, specially for the 3 December awareness day. For the first time, special students took part in the intelligence games. We felt a pleasant pride as the host.
