The 2CAP ELEC class received at the Elysée Palace by President Emmanuel Macron
The second-year CAP ELECTRICIEN class, winners of the Hippocrène 2023 prize, were invited to the Elysée Palace by the President of the Republic on Friday 30 June 2023.
The 2 CAP students from Lycée Pablo NERUDA met the President of the Republic and the Minister for Vocational Education and Training.
It was a late afternoon that the 2CAP ELEC students from the Lycée Pablo NERUDA in Saint Martin d'Hères, Isère, will long remember. On Friday 30 June, they were at the Élysée Palace with their two electrical engineering teachers, the Deputy Headmistress Véronique BAUDERE and the Director of the Hippocrène Foundation. The President of the Republic invited them to the third edition of the Great Exhibition of Made in France.
At 6.00 p.m., Emmanuel MACRON took the floor, saying he was delighted to welcome the business leaders, high school students from three vocational training establishments and local councillors. The Martinérois students were able to take photos and selfies with Emmanuel MACRON. The teaching staff were also able to talk to Carole GRANDJEAN, the Minister for Vocational Education and Training.
According to the teaching staff, "the pupils behaved in an exemplary and respectful manner, which was much appreciated. They rose to the occasion and represented the Grenoble Academy and their school very well in the presence of the Republic".
The visit was part of a two-day trip to Paris, which included a stroll along the banks of the Canal de l'Ourcq, visits to the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower and the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, and finally the Invalides.
