Summary from Forms

Introduction
The eTwinning project titled "Students’ wellbeing at school” was an enriching
experience that allowed us to engage in cross-cultural exchange and develop
valuable skills through online collaboration. This reflection aims to delve into the
project's outcomes as revealed by the student questionnaire, highlighting both the positive aspects that made the project memorable and the challenges that were
encountered along the way.

Positive Experiences
1. Meeting new people: the eTwinning project provided a unique opportunity to
connect with students from different countries, allowing us to broaden our horizons
and build lasting friendships across borders. Interacting with peers who had different
backgrounds and perspectives was truly enlightening.
2. Learning about foreign cultures: through collaborative activities and
exchanges, we had the chance to delve into the richness of various cultures. This
immersive experience not only deepened our understanding but also fostered
appreciation and respect for different traditions, languages, and customs.
3. Enhancing English speaking skills: the project offered a unique platform to
practice English in a dynamic and interactive manner. Engaging in discussions and
joint assignments allowed us to improve our language skills while also gaining
confidence in expressing our ideas in a multicultural context.

Challenges Encountered
1. Technical issues: the digital nature of the project meant that technical
difficulties occasionally disrupted our online meetings and collaborations.
2. Chaotic online meetings: coordinating online meetings with participants with
varying school schedules proved to be a significant challenge.
3. Practical issues: Practical matters such as logistical constraints within our own
schools sometimes posed obstacles to fully realizing certain activities or
assignments. However, creative problem-solving and resourcefulness helped us
overcome these limitations.

Favorite Assignment
1. Among the various activities in the project, the creation of a disco ball stands
out as a favourite assignment. This hands-on task not only allowed the students to
unleash their creativity but also represented a symbol of unity and celebration.
2. Presenting our Country: another highlight of the project was the opportunity to
present our their country to the eTwinning partners. This assignment allowed the
stuents to delve into their heritage, showcase their culture, and develop presentation

skills. Sharing information about our country encouraged cross-cultural
understanding among the participants.

Skills Learned
1. The eTwinning project provided an excellent platform for developing a range of
valuable skills. Firstly, the students enhanced their communication skills, through
virtual interactions. Engaging with international peers required clarity and precision in
expressing ideas.
2. Additionally, they honed their collaboration skills, as working in a team
demanded effective coordination, active participation, and respect for diverse
perspectives.
3. Furthermore, the project allowed the students to strengthen their digital literacy
skills, including proficiency in online platforms, virtual tools, and resource sharing.

Group Work Dynamics
The collaborative nature of the eTwinning project offered opportunities for group work
that proved immensely rewarding. Engaging with teammates from different cultural
backgrounds broadened the students’ perspective and encouraged them to approach
tasks with an open mind.

Areas for Improvement
During the project, it became apparent that more speaking opportunities during
online meetings would have been beneficial. Encouraging active participation and
allocating time specifically for speaking interactions would have been a good idea.

Surprising Discoveries
One of the most surprising aspects of the eTwinning project was the revelation of
stark differences in school systems across countries. Varied school hours and
dissimilar English language learning schedules provided insights into the contrasting
educational structures and practices.

Well-Received Topic
The project’s theme, the topic of well-being garnered particular enthusiasm from all
participants.

Future Project Ideas
Considering the success and positive outcomes of the eTwinning project, the
prospect of a future collaboration or meeting in person generated excitement among
participants. Whether it be organizing a face-to-face exchange, an international
conference, or initiating another project, the desire to further deepen our connections
and expand our intercultural learning is a strong motivator.

Conclusion
This eTwinning project provided an exceptional avenue for our students to explore
the world, form lasting connections, and develop crucial skills. While technical and
logistical challenges presented hurdles along the way, they also served as valuable
lessons in problem-solving and adaptability.
Overall, this project exceeded expectations by broadening our students’ cultural
perspectives and nurturing a global mindset, while simultaneously reinforcing the
power of online platforms to connect individuals from diverse backgrounds.
