Phase ONE
Phase One of the Step Up Project is designed to engage students in a series of lifestyle challenges aimed at fostering healthy habits and personal growth. The first set of CHallenges is chosen by teachers to give. them students an idea what they can focus on.
Students will choose from an initial set of ten lifestyle challenges designed to promote health and well-being. Examples include:
- Drinking a glass of water every morning for one month.
- Eating vegetables and a piece of fruit every day for one month.
- Running for at least 20 minutes twice a week for two months.
- Going without sugar and sweet drinks for two weeks.
- Preparing a healthy dinner with parents fifteen times.
- Taking twenty cold morning showers.
- Starting a new hobby and continuing it for three months.
- Spending ten days unplugged from mobile devices, computers, and TV.
- Sleeping at least eight hours for twelve consecutive days.
- Walking 100 kilometers.
Progress Diaries
- Each student will document their progress in a diary, noting their experiences and achievements.
Monitoring and Assessment:
- Upon completing a challenge, students will receive badges and complete self-monitoring questionnaires. These questionnaires will vary depending on whether the student was successful or not:
- Successful students will reflect on their motivations and the factors that helped them succeed.
- Unsuccessful students will analyze obstacles and mistakes, considering what could help them succeed in the future.
These reflections aim to support students' self-improvement and personal growth.
