High school Ban Josip Jelačić offers several different programmes – both vocational (Hotel and Tourism Technicians, Business Technicians, IT Technicians, Trade,Catering, Hairdressers and Beauticians) and general education programme. We take pride in offering our students a great number of extra-curricular activities as well as a lot of national and international projects that the school takes part in.

The school was involved in Erasmus+ KA1 project with an emphasis put on the quality of school management, ICT and language competences and the use of innovative teaching methods paying special attention to introducing the European dimension
in our school. The second one focused on developing transversal skills and inclusion. We are involved in 3 KA 229 -coordinator of one. We aim to put students in the centre of learning, encouraging their critical thinking, creativity,innovation, collaboration and entrepreneurship thus rising students' motivation. We are actively involved in the eTwinning group as well as the eTwinning project The 21st Century Classroom. The school is a very dynamic one: students participate in sports, scientific and cultural events. The students participate in various activities such as English courses, astronomy, seminars in physics and philosophy, journalism and local heritage. Further, the school has always carried out competence development of teachers through training courses. Whatever the course chosen, the student will encounter
our main aims which are: to provide a thorough cultural foundation, to encourage a sense of critical intelligence, to sustain personal formation and growth so as to bring out the best in each individual and to create a responsible future citizen. It is our task to integrate every student in the culture to which he/she belongs: it is fundamental to us to ensure that each of our pupils, whatever his/her personal aptitudes may be, is exposed to the linguistic, literary, philosophical, anthropological, scientific, artistic and religious knowledge. Our school, in relation to the improvement plan, the analysis of the cultural and socio economic context users, the specificity of the study guidelines, the comparison with teachers, families and students identified the following educational objectives: - Laboratory Enhancement: Strengthening of laboratory methodologies and laboratory activities.

Development digital skills of students; - Language Enhancement: Development and enhancement of English language skills; - Strengthening Scientific: Enhancement of mathematical-logical and scientific skills; - Socio-Economic and Legality Enhancement: Development of skills in active citizenship and democracy.
