What lesson can be learned from the myth of Icarus and Daedalus?

Despite his father’s warnings of flying too close to the sun, Icarus became overconfident and flew higher and higher until the heat of the sun melted the wax holding his wings together. In mythological ancient Greece, this moment represents the fatal flaw of hubris (= excessive pride or self-confidence ). The line that separated gods from man was absolute, and the punishment for mortals who attempted to overreach their human abilities was severe.  So, the tragedy of Icarus is  considered by many as a punishment of Gods. In the eyes of Gods, men were never meant to fly. Both Icarus and Daedalus had to be punished for their arrogance.
