Malta
In Malta they try to teach their students about environmental issues. One of the big issues in our country is the urbanisation with new buildings being constructed all over the island. The students feel that Malta should be greener and we organised an activity to plan trees on the island. You can see some photos of the activities:

Global warming and air pollution lesson:
During the lesson, we explored how greenhouse gasses are negatively affecting our atmosphere and how this is causing various negative consequences globally.
Song for project
Portuguese musical teacher, Sérgio Ribeiro has composed a song for our project.
Portuguese students presented it in C3 mobility.

Environmental Flyer
This flyer was produced by portuguese 4th graders students about environment, printed in colours and handed to all students of Portuguese school and to all c3 mobility students and teachers with practical ideas to protect the environment.

Plogging Challenge Portugal
On the April 22nd, 2024, the IV edition of the 'Plogging Challenge Portugal' was held.
Plogging is a planned activity that combines running, along a previously defined route, with garbage collection.
This activity was attended by our 3rd grade students, as well as some parents, teachers and non-teaching staff from our school.

Earthday - 22 april
Earth Day was experienced in room 3 of preschool education of EB1/PE das Figueirinhas, Portugal.
The children and their families carried out a collection work on this theme.
After being presented, the works were exhibited in the room.
Here is the record of this activity that made children aware of the issues of protecting our planet.

Multiplier Event - Eco workshop
RECICLING

Prelector - Dra. Mónica Alexandra de Cunha Pitas Pereira
On June 26, as part of the Erasmus + 🗺️ project "Let's save our environment and our future", EB1/PE das Figueirinhas held a multiplier event, 🌳 Eco workshop entitled "Recicling" ♻️ developed by Dr. Mónica Pereira, from the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture, Fisheries and Environment 🚯from the Regional Madeira Government.
The 127 participating students and the 12 teachers had the opportunity to explore various topics 🌎 related to this theme, as well as taking part in some practical activities 🚮.
