Christmas story Part 2 Greece
So, they arrive in Greece after a long and tiring trip. They start to feel hungry and decide to look for food.
They ring the bell at the first house they see and they ask for something to eat. The nice lady who opens the door gives them “melomakarona” and “kourambiedes” (traditional Greek Christmas sweets). When they get in the house, they see a small boat decorated with Christmas lights and they ask about it. She explains that it is an old tradition in Greece to decorate a small boat instead of a tree, because of the many islands and the sailors. But they have a mission and they actually forget about it. So, they decide to go to Italy to find a big, beautiful tree.
