Language is a tremendous wealth for every culture. It is a way of thinking, the way we perceive things. As much as it is necessary for people to use one language, in order to communicate and get along, when it comes to exchanging cultural elements, we must try to see things through the eyes of the other, through the other's language. The present project attempts a first approach to this reasoning. Students and teachers from different cultures are asked to discuss aspects of their lives that interest them, such as their free time, the music they like to listen to, the city they live in, their school, their school life, their festivities. But in an effort to understand each other better, the students will become teachers and teach each other some basic things from their language. From this collaboration we would like a different book to emerge, a “colourful book”. We are looking forward to it …
